Note: Non-medical home care is primarily paid privately out-of-pocket. If you have a Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) policy, check with the agency to see if they can help process your claims.
Understanding Coverage: Standard Medicare generally does not cover non-medical home care (like help with bathing or meal prep). Medicaid waivers or VA benefits may cover these services if you qualify.
Holiday Rate & Monthly Payment Discount Policy Services provided on recognized federal or State of California holidays are billed at 1.5 times the client’s regular service rate. This holiday rate applies regardless of whether the client is billed: Hourly: The regular hourly rate will be multiplied by 1.5. Flat Daily Rate: The regular daily flat rate will be multiplied by 1.5. Holiday rates may apply to recognized holidays including, but not limited to, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Monthly Payment Discount Clients who elect to pay their service fees on a monthly payment basis may receive a 3% discount on their regular service charges. The 3% monthly payment discount applies to eligible regular service charges and does not reduce or modify applicable holiday rates, overtime charges, additional service fees, or other special rates unless otherwise stated in the client’s Service Agreement. All rates, discounts, and applicable holiday charges will be disclosed and agreed upon prior to the start of services.

Monte Bonita LLC® was founded by a dedicated caregiver with over seven years of experience caring for seniors in nursing homes, agencies, and assisted living facilities. During that time, she built meaningful bonds with those she cared for—seeing them not just as clients, but as part of her extended family.
While the journey brought many life lessons and beautiful memories, she also witnessed situations that lacked the compassion and dignity every individual deserves. Moved by a desire to create real change, she took action and founded Monte Bonita LLC®—an agency built on the values of respect, honesty, and human connection.
Today, Monte Bonita LLC® is committed to providing specialized, personalized care—treating every client with the same love and attention as if they were part of our own family.
From an early age, the founder of Monte Bonita LLC® knew her calling was to care for and help others. After finishing high school, she decided to study medicine, but while working to pay for her studies, she discovered a passion that would transform her life: direct caregiving. Realizing how much she enjoyed this work, she decided to put her career on hold to fully dedicate herself to being a caregiver.
She began working at an assisted living facility, where during night shifts she was responsible for 20 residents with various conditions, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, and paraplegia. Being close to these people and their stories taught her the profound impact that compassionate care can have on their lives. More than just patients, these people became an extension of her family.
However, this experience also exposed a problem that marked a before and after in her path: some caregivers did not share her commitment to empathy and respect. She witnessed cases of abuse and lack of care that led her to make a brave decision. It was then that she founded Monte Bonita LLC®, a company built on the values of family, respect, honesty, compassion and empathy.
Monte Bonita LLC's mission is clear: to ensure that each person under its care receives the dignified treatment they deserve, as if they were another member of the family. The company works every day to create an environment where trust, respect and love are the fundamental pillars.
